Putting the pieces together...

Everyday Porter keeps surprising us.  His mind is working on overdrive, and he is learning an enormous amount each day. One of his favorite things to do is put together puzzles. Before I started working full-time, we would go to the library here on post and listen to storytime. After the craft time that followed the stories, we would go into the kids' room and Porter would spend at least twenty minutes putting the puzzles together over and over again.

Fast Forward a few months and Porter moved on to 28 and 48 piece puzzles.  We bought him at ton of these, and he would pull them out occasionally.  However, it always ended up with Porter throwing a tantrum and throwing the pieces, because he couldn't understand how it went together. Before he left, Joe spent a ton of time teaching Porter how to match up the straight pieces along the edges but most of all he taught him patience.

Look what I saw when I came out of the kitchen tonight:

He did it! All by himself with zero tantrums! Thank you honey for getting through to him. We miss you!!

  1. I am so proud of him. That is awesome! The fact that he did it all on his own...makes me so happy to see honey, thank you! Now on to the 100 piece puzzles!
